What is The Angels of Hamilton Gardens? This is a campaign. We are working with Friends of Hamilton Gardens to help them achieve some of their goals. We are fundraising money to go towards a sculpture that will be put into the Surrealist Garden. This campaign is run by University students as part of the Public Relations Major in the Communication Studies Degree. We do not work for the Hamilton Gardens or Friends of Hamilton Gardens, we are working with them.
How long does the campaign run for? This campaign will run for five weeks. From the end of August through to the beginning of October. Our Givealittle page will open on Sunday the 10th of September at 9pm and will close on Sunday the 1st of October
What in particular are you raising money for? We have been given three sculptures that will be going into the Surrealist Garden. There is a tap, a wheelbarrow and a spade. We are getting the public to vote for which sculpture they like best and which ever one gets the most votes will get the money we raise to go towards it.
What if the sculpture I like does not win the public vote? We understand that everyone has different tastes. But all of these sculptures will be going into the garden, regardless of which one wins the public vote. The money we raise will just be going to a specific one.
What do I get out of donating? By becoming an Angel of Hamilton Gardens, you will be helping put a new feature in the gardens that are so popular. We hope that assisting your community will help you feel like the angel you are. As well as that, we do have weekly competitions going if you vote in our Facebook poll and donate on our Givealittle page. Prizes are yet to be decided but there will be information on our Facebook page closer to the time.
Is there anything else I can do to help? Friends of Hamilton Gardens is always looking for more help. Donations are helpful but they are also looking for new members and volunteers. If you think this is for you visit www.hamiltongardens.co.nz/friends for more information on becoming a friend and becoming more involved in these beautiful gardens.
